Overview
The TCRT5000 IR Line Tracking Sensor Module is one of the most widely used sensors in educational robotics and automation projects. It detects differences in surface reflectivity by transmitting infrared light and measuring the reflected signal. White surfaces reflect more infrared light than black surfaces, making the module ideal for line-following robots.
The module includes an adjustable sensitivity potentiometer, power indicator LED, detection status LED, and an LM393 comparator for stable digital output. It is fully compatible with Arduino, ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi (with ADC), and other microcontroller platforms.
